Thelonious Punk

A Modern jazz band with a shared love of the music of Wayne Shorter , Charles Mingus and the odd Monk tune.

Started in 2009, we are currently a Quartet but have featured many northland Musicians and Guest players.

Signed to Rugged Records we have two C.d's of Jazz standards which feature our versions of Mingus, Sonny Rollins , Horace Silver and Herbie Hancock songs.

The band plays Festivals, Weddings , Corporate and Charity events.
